What is Rugeley Rocks?
Rugeley Rocks was established in 2018 to help showcase the very best of the area’s local bands whilst offering a fun, affordable and family friendly festival for Rugeley. We aim to put the Rugeley music and events scene back on the map! The festival has raised over £1000 for important local charities including The Rugeley Open Spaces Association and Rugeley & District Community First Responders and will continue to support local charities in 2022 and beyond.
When & Where is Rugeley Rocks?
Rugeley Rocks will take place on Bank Holiday Friday 3rd June 20221 on St Augustines Field in Rugeley. Opening / Closing times will be confirmed shortly.
Where can I buy tickets? Will they sell out?
Tickets are limited and the festival is subject to high demand. 2018 & 2019 sold out in advance so please buy your tickets as soon as possible. Tickets are available exclusively online here. Tickets can be paid for securely via Credit / Debit card. All tickets are digital which means you need to print the PDF confirmation email or bring it on your smartphone. Don’t forget, £1 from every ticket purchased will go directly to a local charity.
What if I purchased tickets in 2019 or 2020 and it was cancelled?
All tickets purchased for the 2020 festival that was postponed will be valid for 2022, simply bring your original ticket confirmation with you on the day. Lost your original email? Email us on info@rugeleyrocks.co.uk and we can resend confirmation.
What to expect from Rugeley Rocks?
Soak up a festival atmosphere on your doorstep! Rugeley Rocks returns for 2022 after 2019’s sell out success. We can’t wait to welcome you back but for those of you who are new to us here’s what too expect. Gates open at 4pm and our first act kicks off straight away so get ready to rock and roll. We have over 10 handpicked bands and artists that will be performing across two stages throughout the day – there will be something for everyone from Brit pop to classic rock. Pick up your free festival programme on your arrival and check out all the bands and what times they will be taking to the stage. Sit back and relax on our straw bales, indulge in some delicious street food or real ale and enjoy the festival atmosphere! Children can make the most of our free fun zone including giant inflatables, games and entertainment. Be sure to browse the market stalls and support local businesses.
What facilities will be available?
You can expect a full range of facilities including identifiable friendly event staff, portaloo toilets, a variety of food vendors, licensed bar serving both alcoholic and non alcoholic refreshments, designated smoking area, onsite security team & first aid, sheltered seating area, children’s entertainment zone including giant inflatables and games, street performers and more.

What should I bring with me?
Essentials – please bring your ticket, enough cash to last the day (no ATM available on site and plenty of things to buy) and valid I.D if you’re lucky enough to look younger than 25 and wish to purchase alcohol. Optional extras – folding chairs / camping chairs, picnic blanket and smartphone / camera to take some epic selfies! For health and safety reasons, guests are not permitted to bring in alcohol, drugs, sharp objects or offensive weapons. All guests and belongings will be searched upon entry by our friendly event security to ensure our festival is safe. Bags are permitted but must not exceed 40cm x 30cm x 30cm and will be thoroughly searched. If you have any specific medical or dietary requirements that we should be aware of, please email info@rugeleyrocks.co.uk prior to the event.
How do I get there and is there parking?
St Augustines field is located just outside of Rugeley town centre off Station Road. The nearest train station is Rugeley Trent Valley roughly a 5 minute walk away. The nearest bus station is Rugeley Bus Station roughly a 5 minute walk away. Unfortuantely there is no parking – we encourage all attendees to use public transport, cycle or walk to the festival to reduce the overall carbon footprint of the festival.
What if the weather's bad?
The British weather is unpredictable at the best of times but please don’t be put off, we have plenty of cover from the elements if the weather forecast doesn’t look favourable. Our big top tent, licensed bar area and outdoor seating area will all have sufficient cover to keep you dry and warm.
Are tickets refundable?
Like all festival & concert tickets, unfortunately Rugeley Rocks tickets are non-refundable and by purchasing through our website you agree to this condition. If you can no longer attend the festival we encourage you to gift or sell your tickets to friends and family who may be able to attend instead.
